Project Background
Situated in Tauranga, this spacious five-bedroom 1998 home has been transformed into an impressive retreat through a significant extension and renovation. This luxurious modern property is the result of exceptional teamwork between Kuriger Builders and Carnachan Architecture’s, and impressively won three Regional Awards at the 2024 Master Builders House of the Year Awards: Regional Category Winner, Regional Kitchen Excellence, and Regional Gold. NZWindows is extremely proud to have contributed to the success of this project by supplying the aluminium joinery, playing a key role in Carnachan Architecture’s vision.

Front Door
The entry door is often the first impression of a home and true to its name, this Tauranga residence makes an entrance. The panels supplied by the client were installed into APL Metro Series joinery. The chic entry door sits beneath an impressive portico, creating a welcoming and grand first impression that opens onto an extensive paneled hallway.
Metro Sliders
The house boasts a range of sliding doors, creating beautiful views while maintaining a sleek look. The inviting family hub opens to a Louvretec-covered outdoor living space with a woodfire, which links to the formal dining room through wrought-iron glazed sliding doors. The doors can be opened to maximise the entertaining space and create an expansive area that radiates warmth and openness.
Metro Series Biparting Stacker with Flush Pull
Large, strategically placed windows in the kitchen flood the space with natural light, creating an inviting atmosphere for cooking. A standout feature is the Metro Series Biparting Stacker with Flush Pull. The biparting design allows for maximum opening width and the flush pull design provides a polished, modern look while allowing smooth sliding of the handles. The large glass panels provide unobstructed views of the garden, creating a more open atmosphere and seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces, perfect for entertaining and enjoying outdoor living.
