Positioned just 100 meters inland from the shoreline, it was crucial that the home took full advantage of its view, whilst maintaining privacy from the neighbouring properties. Simultaneously, the homeowners desired a strong connection to the land through large access points from their home to the surrounding landscapes. The elevated vantage points of the home offers sweeping panoramas towards the East capturing Shoe Island and extending westward to the Coromandel Ranges. These vistas were instrumental in shaping the layout and design of the house.
